I have been a professional designer for 4 years, and have been a lifetime artist and designer. I received my BA in Communication Design with the emphasis in Visual Communication from California State University, Chico in 2005. Because of the strong passion I have for all things art and design, I have worked diligently to refine my skills and increase my knowledge in all aspects. Having designed dozens of logos, identity systems, websites, publications, and more in a reletively short period of time as a designer, I have quickly learned what it takes to create great and effective design systems. I treat every project as if it were my greatest project, bringing all of my passion, knowledge, and effort into every brush stroke, pencil sketch, and keystroke.

THE PROCESS
I focus on problem/solution design. For me, design is not just artwork, but is the solution to a communication problem. Great care is taken in analyzing this communication problem. This can involve researching and developing the most effective way to share a new marketing message with your clients, creating a website that is as user freindly as it is visually pleasing or matching a style of art to the message and content in a large poster.
The process involves analyzing the needs of the communication problem, researching for the best possible solutions, a look at what your competition is doing and deciding what works and what does not work for your industry, Visualizing and creating the best possible designs, selecting the most effective concepts, and implementing the finished design solution. It seems like a long process, but in a nut shell, its all about doing it right the first time.
THE RESULTS
The Result of this process is a design that is focused on what is correct for your need rather than what just looks good. Why is this important? Just like with fads, art and design that is focused on what is popular, rather than what is necessary for the situation, can quickly become undesirable and ineffective and will have to be quickly and constantly redone. This can lead to greater costs and poor communication to your clients. By putting the emphasis on the right design and getting the job done right the first time, clients can save money and create a more positive brand for themselves.
