The Designer
I have been a professional designer for 3 years, and have been a lifetime artist and designer. I received my BA in Communication Design with the emphasis in Visual Communication from California State University, Chico in 2005. Because of the strong passion I have for all things art and design, I have worked diligently to refine my skills and increase my knowledge in all aspects. Having designed dozens of logos, identity systems, websites, publications, and more in more reletively short time as a designer, I have quickly learned what it takes to create great and effective design systems. I treat every project as if it were my greatest project, bringing all of my passion, knowledge, and effort into every brush stroke, pencil sketch, and keystroke.
The Process
I focus on problem/solution design. Design is not looked at as artwork, but as the solution to a communication problem. Great care is taken in analyzing the design problem. This involves researching and developing the most effective way to share a new marketing message with your clients, creating a website that is as user freindly as it is visually pleasing. The process involves analyzing the design/communication problem, extensive research of solutions and what your competition is doing, ideation illustrations and comps, concept selection, and final polishing of the finished design solution.
The Results
The Result is a design that is focused on what is right for the need rather than what just looks good. This is important because, just like fads, art and design that is focused on what is popular rather than what is necessary for the situation, can quickly become undesirable or uneffective and will have to constantly be redone. This can lead to greater costs and inefficient communication to your clients. By putting the emphasis on the right design, clients can save money and create a more positive brand.
